Group of 54 oversize C-Print photographs on high gloss paper, adhered to foam core with repeated MAC logo on the verso; many with two velcro tabs at top. Each 1067x762 mm, 42x30 inches. 2003.

A body-painting project conceived of and executed as playing cards by the publisher Assouline working with MAC Cosmetics as a fund raising venture for the company's MAC AIDS Fund. The irreverent and compelling images were also released in book form.

A selection of international fashion designers, artists, make-up artists, musicians, actors, architects and even a chef were all called upon to celebrate diversity and the body beautiful. Artists and models all donated their time and efforts for this project.

The images were originally produced for a deck of cards, and then in a book form. These impressive, oversize prints were most likely made for a live event (in 2003 the AIDS fundraiser, Fashion Cares Gala in Toronto had a casino theme and the playing cards were distributed). Each image originally had pips printed on it (like playing cards, with a number and a corresponding suit). These large images, which entail 52 "cards" plus two jokers, do not have those markings.
